Drainage of nuclear power compound Rheinschanzinsel

As part of the integrated Rhine program, Dr. Hutarew & Partner prepared the design for approval for the complete retention basin Rheinschanzinsel (polder RSI) near Philippsburg. The approval of the overall measures was subsequently granted. In the next step the execution phase of the subprojects followed, including the flood protection of the EnBW nuclear power compound.

The implementation of the protective measures for the KKP included the control of the groundwater level even at extreme flood events in the rivers Rhine. Groundwater pumping station with drainage-, ditches- and dam crest increase along with culvert were realized. From execution planning and computation to commissioning, we were assigned with all services within the KKP compound.
